Hadley celebrated her first Christmas this past week! On Sunday, December 21st, Hadley made her acting debut as Baby Jesus in the Christmas play at church. Dan and I were Mary and Joseph as well. She did well and is set to do it again on Sunday, December 28th during the morning service. On Tuesday, Aunt Cathey and Uncle Ralph came up to my parents home to meet Hadley and Haisten. We were all so excited to see them and glad that Hadley got to see them! It was a lot of fun. On Wednesday, we celebrated the Hobbs-Collins Christmas Eve at my parents home. It was a long day but a lot of fun. We spent Christmas morning at our home and then the afternoon with Dan's parents. We were not able to be with Dan's brother and his family for Christmas because our cousin Josie (6 weeks older than Hadley) had RSV. It is a bad respiratory virus that we did not want to risk Hadley getting. Hadley has also gone to see the Christmas lights at Chehaw and did stay awake to look at them and really liked them. She has been a fan of lights for a while. Santa was very good to Hadley and she got lots of toys! She must have been a very good girl.
We are sleeping better at night now. Most nights she wakes a few times when she loses her pacifier but does not require a middle of the night feeding anymore. She goes to sleep around 11:00 each night and usually wakes up for good around either 7 or 8. We are so excited. Some nights are better than others but at least now we can rotate nights because I do not have to get up to feed her in the middle of the night anymore!
